Dear IMAMS,                                         URGENT                                                1 August 2010

Assalam Alaykum

PLEASE SEE THESE  NEW REPORTS(4 attachments) FROM THE FOOD STANDARDS AGENCY(Government body  here in London/ UK)  REGARDING THE UNHEALTH  DANGEROUS ZAM ZAM WATER AND THE  NEW ACTIONS AGAINST IT?.
ZAM ZAM WATER IN MAKKAH AND THOSE ON SALE IN THE SHOPS EVERYWHERE  DO CONTAIN HIGH LEVELS OF ARSENIC AND NITRATES WHICH ARE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH???
(you can see their websites: www.food.gov.uk)

THIS IS VERY SERIOUS MATTER  AND YOUR DUTY AS IMAMS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT IN ORDER TO SAVE THE LIFE OF OUR MUSLIM UMMAH!
-Please analyse new fresh specimens locally in your own countries
Get it from people going to Umra/Hajj...and analyse  also some Zam zam water which is on sale in your country( in shops/mosques...)
-Contact the Saudi Embassies about it.
-Write to King Abdullah to investigate quickly and stop any harmful Zam Zam water
-Write to the Ministry of Health, the Awqaf/Ulamas in Saudia Arabia and in your country.
-Publicise the dangers to your Muslim community...
(Personnally,I suggest no one should drink any Zam Zam water in Saudia Arabia or in any country.Infants first should not be given any Zam Zam water.)
-Put the Warning/Alarm on your websites/publications etc..
-Ask all Imams to mention it in Friday Khutba
-Inform all Muslim organisations/Muslim travel agencies in your country.
-Use coming Ramadan for wide publicity about it.

This serious neglected issue has been going on for about 9 years???
The Muslim doctor who discovered it,gave the alarm and is leading the campaign about it is Dr Yunes Teinaz ..May ALLAH reward him and protect him.
